The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students with individual learning needs reach their full potential. You will provide academic, social, emotional, and behavioural support, working closely with teachers, families, and the wider school team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students individually or in small groups to achieve academic, social, emotional, and behavioural goals.
• Collaborate with class teachers to develop differentiated learning programmes and individualised learning plans.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and use data to inform interventions and teaching practices.
• Identify root causes of learning challenges and implement effective strategies to address them.
• Coach and guide staff in implementing in-class support plans through workshops and professional development.
• Work closely with families to promote positive home-school communication and engagement.
• Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages high standards and individual excellence.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular programmes, and holistic learning activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
• Learning Support, Special Education, or SEN qualification preferred (or evidence of progress towards one).
• Proven classroom teaching experience, preferably at the Primary or Secondary level in an international school setting.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including academic, social-emotional, and behavioural challenges.
• Experience developing and implementing Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs) or differentiated instruction.

Preferred

• Strong understanding of international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB) is desirable.
• Ability to use assessment and data to monitor student progress and inform interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
