The Opportunity:
A Learning Support Teacher (SEN) is sought to join a dynamic team and deliver high-quality support to students in Years 7–11. This role is pivotal in enhancing inclusive learning practices and ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
- Deliver targeted interventions and specialist support to improve student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Promote inclusive practices and contribute to the development of school-wide support strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to teaching staff on SEN best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
- Engage in professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in special educational needs support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special educational needs support.
- Strong understanding of SEND frameworks and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Proven ability to create and deliver individualized learning plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience working with students in Years 7–11 or equivalent age groups.
- Familiarity with the use of assistive technology in education.
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment for students with additional needs.
