The Opportunity:
As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will play a key role in delivering practical and theoretical training to students. This is an opportunity to shape the future of skilled electricians and contribute to the development of future-ready learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and assess accredited Electrical qualifications, including City & Guilds 2365, 5357 & 8202 Level 3, both on campus and at employer premises.
- Deliver engaging lessons and practical sessions that develop learners’ knowledge and vocational skills.
- Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator for a designated group of students.
- Design and implement flexible training programmes aligned with awarding body requirements.
- Liaise with employers, awarding bodies, and internal teams to ensure high-quality provision.
- Contribute to curriculum development and maintain accurate course records.
- Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding in all aspects of teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition certification.
- Relevant teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE) or willingness to work towards one.
- Assessor qualifications (A1) desirable; V1 award advantageous.
- Experience delivering electrical qualifications, ideally including City & Guilds 2365.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of teaching.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching and assessing a range of learners, including 16-18s and adult learners.
- Experience in curriculum development and course coordination.
- Experience working with employers and awarding bodies to ensure high-quality provision.
