The Opportunity:

As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will play a key role in delivering practical and theoretical training to students. This is an opportunity to shape the future of skilled electricians and contribute to the development of future-ready learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess accredited Electrical qualifications, including City & Guilds 2365, 5357 & 8202 Level 3, both on campus and at employer premises.
  • Deliver engaging lessons and practical sessions that develop learners’ knowledge and vocational skills.
  • Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator for a designated group of students.
  • Design and implement flexible training programmes aligned with awarding body requirements.
  • Liaise with employers, awarding bodies, and internal teams to ensure high-quality provision.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and maintain accurate course records.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding in all aspects of teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition certification.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Assessor qualifications (A1) desirable; V1 award advantageous.
  • Experience delivering electrical qualifications, ideally including City & Guilds 2365.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching and assessing a range of learners, including 16-18s and adult learners.
  • Experience in curriculum development and course coordination.
  • Experience working with employers and awarding bodies to ensure high-quality provision.
