The Opportunity:

As a Lecturer in Plumbing, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the plumbing industry by delivering accredited qualifications and inspiring learners from Entry Level to Level 3. This is an opportunity to make a real impact through teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess plumbing qualifications in college and on employers’ premises.
  • Support learners from induction through to achievement, providing feedback, tutorials, and individual learning plans.
  • Develop curriculum in line with national requirements, community needs, and employer expectations.
  • Work closely with employers and awarding bodies to ensure high-quality training and compliance.
  • Contribute to course design, reviews, and quality assurance processes.
  • Promote the school’s values of equality, diversity, safeguarding, and student success.
  • Deliver engaging and practical training in modern facilities.
  • Embed e-learning into teaching where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, PGCE).
  • Assessor Award (A1) – V1 desirable.
  • Plumbing qualifications and industry experience.
  • Experience developing schemes of work and assessment plans.
  • Strong teamwork, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience embedding e-learning into delivery.
  • Experience in working with employers and awarding bodies.
  • Background in course design and quality assurance.
