Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and manage all aspects of learning for 16-19 and adult learners, including Functional Skills English and GCSE English.
• Create a safe and inspirational learning environment that supports learners at all levels.
• Deliver excellent outcomes for learners by providing tailored support and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
• Contribute to the professional development of the teaching team through shared best practices.
• Support learners in making excellent progress by identifying and addressing individual needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Engage with learners and families to ensure a positive and inclusive learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in teaching Functional Skills English and GCSE English.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent outcomes for learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and collaboration.

Preferred

• An English degree or Level 5 Subject Specialism in Literacy.
• Experience in working with learners at a range of starting points.
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
