Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across Reception to Year 4 in consistent classes.
- Support class teachers during lessons and provide targeted intervention teaching.
- Assist with pastoral care and support pupil wellbeing.
- Work closely with the Deputy Master (Lower School) to deliver academic support.
- Cover teachers’ PPA time and absences in a structured and consistent manner.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to inclusivity and excellence.
- Promote a broad and diverse curriculum that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Lower School children (Reception to Year 4).
- Ability to work flexibly across different year groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to pupil wellbeing and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience with SEND best practice.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching methods.
- Experience in a co-educational environment.
- Background in a preparatory or independent school setting.
- Interest in community outreach and extra-curricular activities.
