Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons across Reception to Year 4 in consistent classes.
• Support class teachers during lessons and provide targeted intervention teaching.
• Assist with pastoral care and support pupil wellbeing.
• Work closely with the Deputy Master (Lower School) to deliver academic support.
• Cover teachers’ PPA time and absences in a structured and consistent manner.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
• Contribute to the school’s commitment to inclusivity and excellence.
• Promote a broad and diverse curriculum that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Lower School children (Reception to Year 4).
• Ability to work flexibly across different year groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to pupil wellbeing and pastoral care.

Preferred

• Experience with SEND best practice.
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching methods.
• Experience in a co-educational environment.
• Background in a preparatory or independent school setting.
