The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Sports Coordinator, you will support students with engaging physical activities during lunchtime, promoting healthy and active lifestyles in a secondary school setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sport and youth development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver a variety of sports and physical activities during the lunchtime period.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the school’s mission and values.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and activity outcomes.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of students aged 11–16.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people aged 11–16.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of a range of sports and games suitable for secondary-aged pupils.
  • Energetic, reliable, and approachable personality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team during the lunchtime break from 12.00 – 2.00pm.

Preferred

  • Experience in youth development or sports coaching.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience with part-time or flexible working arrangements.
