The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to ensure a safe and positive lunchtime experience for students. This role is ideal for someone who is responsible, friendly, and able to work as part of a team during the lunchtime break. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and orderly environment across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in dining areas and other indoor and outdoor spaces during lunchtime.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the lunch period.
- Promote positive behaviour and support the school's high standards of conduct.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience.
- Assist with the organisation and management of lunchtime activities and events.
- Monitor student interactions and intervene when necessary to uphold school policies.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable presence to encourage positive student engagement.
- Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A friendly and approachable nature with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team during the lunchtime break.
- Experience working with young people in a school environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or support role within an educational setting.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
