The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to ensure a safe and positive lunchtime experience for students. This role is ideal for someone who is responsible, friendly, and able to work as part of a team during the lunchtime break. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and orderly environment across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in dining areas and other indoor and outdoor spaces during lunchtime.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the lunch period.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support the school's high standards of conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience.
  • Assist with the organisation and management of lunchtime activities and events.
  • Monitor student interactions and intervene when necessary to uphold school policies.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable presence to encourage positive student engagement.
  • Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A friendly and approachable nature with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team during the lunchtime break.
  • Experience working with young people in a school environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or support role within an educational setting.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
