The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics and Business Teacher to join our Secondary School team and deliver high-quality instruction in KS3 Mathematics and Business Studies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of GCSE and A-Level curricula in Mathematics and/or Business as the department expands. The ideal candidate will be passionate about innovative teaching and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in KS3 Mathematics and Business Studies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of GCSE and A-Level curricula in Mathematics and/or Business.
  • Use real-world contexts and data-driven examples to enhance student understanding.
  • Monitor student progress through effective assessment strategies and support differentiated learning.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports and challenges all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives, especially in Mathematics, Economics, and Business.
  • Participate in school events, pastoral responsibilities, and extracurricular activities as part of the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • PGCE with QTS, or an equivalent nationally recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS3 Mathematics with the ability to teach GCSE and/or A-Level Mathematics and/or Business Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to link theory to real-world applications.

Preferred

  • Experience in cross-curricular collaboration and innovative pedagogy.
  • A passion for student-centred learning and independent study.
  • Experience with international curricula, such as the IB Diploma Programme or IB Career-Related Programme.
