The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Mathematics Teacher - Outreach to inspire and support students from underrepresented backgrounds in mathematical sciences. This role combines teaching A Level Maths and Further Maths with outreach initiatives, making a meaningful impact on student progression and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A Level Maths and Further Maths to students at the school.
  • Deliver outreach programs to inspire and challenge students from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Support KS3/4 Maths enrichment and KS5 teacher CPD in local schools as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Monitor and support student progress, ensuring they are prepared for further study in mathematical subjects.
  • Participate in the school’s extended curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Engage with the wider community through outreach events and partnerships.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of inclusivity and academic excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to supporting underrepresented students in STEM.
  • Ability to teach A Level Maths and Further Maths.
  • Experience in outreach or community engagement initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of KS3/4 and KS5 curriculum requirements.
  • Experience in teacher professional development or CPD delivery.
