The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher (Maternity Cover) is sought for a fixed-term position to support a colleague on maternity leave. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a high-achieving, supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Support the school's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating.
  • Background in supporting student behavior and well-being.
  • Experience in delivering Science to a diverse student population.
  • Familiarity with the Red Kite Teaching School Alliance.
