Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Law, ensuring student engagement and academic success.
  • Develop and maintain effective schemes of work and teaching resources aligned with the school’s mission and policies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing support to help learners reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the Law department, including the upcoming T Level Legal Services program.
  • Participate in staff development, appraisal, and lesson observation processes.
  • Promote the welfare of students and uphold the school’s values of equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
  • Engage with parents, students, and external partners to enhance the educational experience.
  • Support the school’s mission through active participation in events, meetings, and community initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Law or a related subject.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to post-16 students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental planning and development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Law or Level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate.
  • Familiarity with IT and online learning platforms.
  • Experience with T Levels or similar vocational qualifications.
  • Track record of outstanding student achievement and engagement.
  • Interest in continuing professional development (CPD) and leadership opportunities.
