The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the administration of awarding body examinations and assessments. This is a key position that supports the school’s academic standards and ensures compliance with JCQ regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration of external examinations in accordance with JCQ regulations
- Ensure the integrity and security of all examinations and assessments
- Support the Headteacher/CEO in preventing malpractice before, during, and after examinations
- Recruit, train, and manage the invigilation team
- Support the school’s data management processes and produce accurate data analysis
- Coordinate with awarding bodies and ensure all procedures are followed
- Maintain up-to-date records and manage examination-related documentation
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding examination processes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong understanding of JCQ regulations and exam board procedures
- Experience managing internal and external examinations in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills with a range of audiences
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Experience with education MIS systems (e.g. Arbor, Bromcom, SIMS)
- Experience of managing staff
Preferred
- Experience in a school or academy setting
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
- Experience with student support and pastoral care
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
