The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Key Stage Leader to lead and develop the mathematics provision for a specific Key Stage. This role offers the chance to shape student learning, support staff development, and contribute to a dynamic, high-achieving school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mathematics curriculum for an allocated Key Stage, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
- Support and develop teaching staff through mentorship, training, and collaborative planning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure academic excellence and personal development
- Work closely with the wider Mathematics and STEM teams to enhance cross-curricular learning
- Promote a culture of curiosity, care, and integrity within the department
- Implement research-based strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement
- Ensure that the curriculum is challenging, inclusive, and accessible to all students
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives and professional development programs
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics education
- Experience in leading and managing a Key Stage or department
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
- Commitment to student progress and personal development
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and school improvement
- Familiarity with research-based teaching methods
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation
- Experience in leading professional development for staff
- Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements
