The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Key Stage Leader to lead and develop the mathematics provision for a specific Key Stage. This role offers the chance to shape student learning, support staff development, and contribute to a dynamic, high-achieving school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mathematics curriculum for an allocated Key Stage, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
  • Support and develop teaching staff through mentorship, training, and collaborative planning
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure academic excellence and personal development
  • Work closely with the wider Mathematics and STEM teams to enhance cross-curricular learning
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, care, and integrity within the department
  • Implement research-based strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement
  • Ensure that the curriculum is challenging, inclusive, and accessible to all students
  • Contribute to school improvement initiatives and professional development programs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics education
  • Experience in leading and managing a Key Stage or department
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Commitment to student progress and personal development
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and school improvement
  • Familiarity with research-based teaching methods
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation
  • Experience in leading professional development for staff
  • Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements
