The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons at all levels, using innovative teaching methods and cognitive science principles.
  • Develop and implement effective curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care and extra-curricular involvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through extra-curricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths experience at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and curriculum design.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.
  • Experience with behaviour management and student engagement strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or A-Level qualifications.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and attainment.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
