Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons at all levels, using innovative teaching methods and cognitive science principles.
- Develop and implement effective curriculum design and assessment strategies.
- Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care and extra-curricular involvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community through extra-curricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Maths experience at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and pedagogy.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and curriculum design.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.
- Experience with behaviour management and student engagement strategies.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or A-Level qualifications.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and attainment.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
