Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across Years 7 to 13
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is challenging and accessible to all learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support where needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Mathematics and STEM teams to enhance teaching and learning
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity through teaching and student engagement
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school
  • Work closely with students to foster a love of learning and a growth mindset
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities in mathematics

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons
  • Commitment to student progress and personal development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching across a range of abilities and year groups
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Familiarity with research-based teaching methods
  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity
  • Experience with STEM-related subjects or extracurricular activities
