The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Maths Teacher and Whole School Numeracy Lead to drive academic excellence and lead whole-school numeracy initiatives. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and shape the future of mathematics education across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically lead the development and implementation of the school improvement plan for whole-school numeracy.
  • Collaborate with curriculum leaders to audit and map numeracy across the curriculum, ensuring consistency and rigor.
  • Track and analyze attainment data for disadvantaged students across all key stages.
  • Design and implement targeted interventions, including small-group tutoring and mentoring, to support underachieving students.
  • Deliver high-quality mathematics teaching, serving as a model of best practice for colleagues.
  • Provide expert training and support to staff across the school to improve numeracy outcomes.
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure that all students have the numeracy skills needed to succeed in all subjects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified teacher (QTS) with experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong track record in delivering high-quality mathematics lessons.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop whole-school numeracy strategies.
  • Commitment to improving outcomes for disadvantaged students.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or strategic development.
  • Background in data analysis and evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or supporting diverse student cohorts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
