The Opportunity:

As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students between the school and designated pick-up points. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth and reliable daily service, supporting the school’s mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the school minibus safely and in accordance with all legal and safety requirements.
  • Collect and return students to designated pick-up points in the morning and at the end of the school day.
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and safe condition at all times.
  • Adhere to all school policies, health and safety procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with any additional duties as required by the school.
  • Pass the MiDAS one-day driving assessment prior to transporting students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement.
  • Ability to pass the MiDAS one-day driving assessment.
  • A proven track record of safe and responsible driving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Experience working with children or in a customer service role.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a minibus or school driver.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare procedures.
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Flexibility to work a full school term and be available for occasional evenings or weekends if required.
