The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Maths Teacher to join a supportive and thriving department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher to contribute to the development of Mathematics teaching at a time of growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students across a range of year groups.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Mathematics and department colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to support student progress.
• Provide individualised support and guidance to students to ensure academic success.
• Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Participate in department meetings, staff development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
• Experience of teaching Mathematics to students aged 11–18.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
• Familiarity with independent school environments.
• Experience in developing and delivering a curriculum aligned with examination requirements.
• Experience with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
