Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that align with curriculum standards and school values.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Participate in high-quality professional development and collaborative planning with colleagues.
  • Support the school’s ethos by promoting positive behaviour and student well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and success.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to continually improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths.
  • Experience of teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in an outstanding school or Ofsted-rated school.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
