The Opportunity:

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education across multiple year groups, with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as Further or Applied Mathematics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics across a range of year groups, ensuring a strong focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Contribute to the development of a stimulating and challenging curriculum, including participation in competitions and clubs.
  • Support students through pastoral tutoring and co-curricular activities that enhance their overall learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, including experience teaching at both IGCSE and A level.
  • Commitment to inspiring and engaging students through innovative and effective teaching methods.
  • Ability to contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further or Applied Mathematics.
  • Current PGCE trainee or recent graduate with a strong enthusiasm for mathematics education.
  • Experience in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
