Key Responsibilities:
- Teach mathematics across a range of year groups, ensuring a strong focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the development of a stimulating and challenging curriculum, including participation in competitions and clubs.
- Support students through pastoral tutoring and co-curricular activities that enhance their overall learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, including experience teaching at both IGCSE and A level.
- Commitment to inspiring and engaging students through innovative and effective teaching methods.
- Ability to contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Further or Applied Mathematics.
- Current PGCE trainee or recent graduate with a strong enthusiasm for mathematics education.
- Experience in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
