Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across all key stages, ensuring student engagement and progress.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead and contribute to departmental initiatives, including the planning and delivery of extracurricular Mathematics activities and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity and student well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire a passion for Mathematics in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular Mathematics clubs or competitions.
  • Experience with curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
