The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that align with the National Curriculum for England, while supporting the school’s mission to foster confident, independent learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students in mathematics.
  • Set clear learning objectives and targets, building on prior attainment and ensuring student progression.
  • Monitor and assess student progress systematically, using data to inform teaching and intervention.
  • Maintain high standards of work, homework, and classroom display, ensuring all materials are up to date and relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide curriculum policies and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Support the school’s improvement plan and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of classroom resources and facilities, including ICT and science equipment.
  • Uphold the school’s rules and standards, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the UK or a British Curriculum school.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.
  • Experience with data systems, student tracking, and intervention strategies.
  • Ability to set clear targets and monitor student progress effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Familiarity with SEN/EAL support strategies.
  • Experience in curriculum development and policy implementation.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
