The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in supporting students' learning and development across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student understanding and enthusiasm for Science.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and support cross-curricular links.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the latest Science education trends and resources.
  • Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives.
