Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the PE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Oversee the strategic direction of the department, including self-evaluation and improvement planning
• Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions to improve outcomes
• Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum and assessment framework across all key stages
• Foster a culture of inclusivity and engagement within the department
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student development
• Promote the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

• Experience in leading a department or team
• Strong track record in curriculum development
• Experience with extracurricular sports and activities
• Leadership and strategic planning experience
