Curriculum Leader in Mathematics with 0.8 FTE, 0.6 FTE teaching and 0.2 FTE leadership development.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum Leader in Mathematics to lead a whole-school initiative focused on teacher development and student interventions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a real impact on student outcomes and support the growth of the mathematics leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a whole-school mathematics initiative to improve provision and outcomes for disadvantaged students.
- Identify and monitor target students for interventions, with a focus on closing achievement gaps.
- Coordinate professional development programmes for teachers, drawing on external resources.
- Manage a tailored programme of curriculum support and enrichment for target students.
- Ensure the mathematics curriculum meets the needs of all students, including high prior attaining and disadvantaged groups.
- Support students studying A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics with high-quality tuition to achieve top grades.
- Work closely with the head of department and senior leaders to drive continuous improvement in mathematics education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A track record of good teaching and attainment in KS3, KS4, and/or KS5 students.
- Experience in curriculum leadership or a similar role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Preferred
- Experience with HPA and MEI projects.
- A passion for professional development and leadership growth.
- Experience in managing and developing teams of teachers.
- A vision for improving educational outcomes for all students.
