As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an innovative and engaging curriculum that prepares students for the digital world. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Support students in developing essential digital skills, including programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy.
  • Manage and assess student progress through a range of academic and vocational pathways, including GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of computer science and integrate new technologies and teaching methods into lessons.
  • Provide pastoral support to students and contribute to the school’s wider community and Catholic values.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Familiarity with vocational pathways such as BTEC and Cambridge Nationals.
  • Experience with digital tools and technologies used in modern computer science education.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or student leadership programs.
