The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and collaborative team. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student development, and contributing to the overall success of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths up to Key Stage 5 using a variety of engaging and effective teaching methods.
  • Support students in developing confidence, self-esteem, and academic achievement through a challenging yet encouraging approach.
  • Prepare, deliver, and assess lessons in line with school policies and curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Work closely with parents and students to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and pastoral care initiatives.
  • Support the Head of Faculty in managing the Maths department and leading curriculum development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths, including Key Stage 5.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to student welfare and the belief that all children can succeed.
  • Confident use of ICT in teaching and assessment.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or deputy roles.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme or similar extracurricular programmes.
  • Demonstrated interest in professional development and innovative teaching practices.
