A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join its thriving Mathematics department. The role involves teaching Mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13 and providing academic leadership and mentorship. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level Further Mathematics where appropriate.
- Lead and manage a Key Stage, providing academic oversight and support to colleagues.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Support the professional development of colleagues within the department.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum planning.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Proven experience of teaching Mathematics to a high standard.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence.
- Ability to lead and manage a Key Stage effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Further Mathematics.
- Involvement in co-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Experience in professional development and mentoring.
- Familiarity with the independent school sector.
