Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons that engage students and promote academic excellence.
  • Support the development of students' critical thinking and analytical skills through effective teaching strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Business & Finance pathway and contribute to curriculum design.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, creating a safe and motivating learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings to share best practices and contribute to school improvement.
  • Ensure that all teaching activities align with the school's mission and values, prioritizing student well-being and success.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all administrative procedures related to teaching and student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a degree-level qualification in Economics or a related subject.
  • Relevant teaching experience, particularly in Sixth Form Colleges, Schools, or FE Colleges.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Commitment to placing students at the center of teaching practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative curriculum content.
  • Previous experience in a sixth-form or FE setting.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and achievement.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
