The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher - KS4 Assessment and Intervention Lead, you will play a key role in raising standards of student achievement and attainment in Maths. You will be responsible for leading assessment and intervention strategies to support student success and ensure a high-quality learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and improve student progress in KS4 Maths.
  • Lead and coordinate intervention programs to support students who require additional help in Maths.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that meet curriculum requirements and student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide a personalised learning journey for all students.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths department and wider school community.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS4 Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience in leading assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or trust with a strong focus on professional development.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Leadership experience in a teaching or learning capacity.
