The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher - KS4 Assessment and Intervention Lead, you will play a key role in raising standards of student achievement and attainment in Maths. You will be responsible for leading assessment and intervention strategies to support student success and ensure a high-quality learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and improve student progress in KS4 Maths.
- Lead and coordinate intervention programs to support students who require additional help in Maths.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that meet curriculum requirements and student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental performance.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Support the school’s mission to provide a personalised learning journey for all students.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths department and wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 4.
- Strong knowledge of the KS4 Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Experience in leading assessment and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or trust with a strong focus on professional development.
- Experience with data analysis and performance tracking.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Leadership experience in a teaching or learning capacity.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the Qualified Teacher Main/Upper Scale.
- TLR2C allowance of £8,611.
