The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled PE Teacher (Girls) to inspire and motivate students in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student achievement and engagement in physical education and sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to girls across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE and Vocational PE.
  • Develop and implement an inclusive extra-curricular programme that supports student participation and sporting excellence.
  • Manage and maintain the school’s world-class PE facilities, ensuring they are used effectively for teaching and student activities.
  • Collaborate with the PE Faculty to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Support the development of student leadership and sporting skills through a range of competitive and non-competitive activities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive culture within the PE department and across the school.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment with the school’s mission and educational goals.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE, preferably with a focus on girls’ physical education.
  • Experience of teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE and Vocational PE.
  • Strong knowledge of current PE and sports curriculum requirements.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular sports teams and leadership development.
  • Knowledge of sports leadership and coaching qualifications.
  • Experience with the Leadership Skills Foundation or similar programmes.
  • Familiarity with modern PE teaching methodologies and technologies.
