Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote deep understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the maths curriculum.
  • Lead and participate in co-curricular activities that enhance students’ learning experiences and personal development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values the well-being and safety of all students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in maths education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into your practice.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student progress and ensure a consistent approach to learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant maths qualification and experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver a broad and balanced maths curriculum.
  • Experience in delivering at least some of the qualifications offered by the school.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching MYP and/or DP qualifications.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to co-curricular activities.
  • Experience working in a MAT or collaborative school environment.
  • Experience with early career teachers or mentoring.
