Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the mathematics curriculum across all Key Stages.
  • Mentor and support staff to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
  • Implement evidence-based approaches to improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a Maths Mastery approach and IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Provide leadership in A-Level and Further Mathematics, including curriculum development and teaching.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision for mathematics education.
  • Engage in continuous professional learning and share best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in mathematics education.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a school or MAT.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and delivery.
  • Experience in teaching across Key Stages, including A-Level and Further Mathematics.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme or Maths Mastery.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
  • Experience in leading professional development for teachers.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
