The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality, research-informed curriculum that inspires and challenges students. You will contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching environment that values innovation and excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons using a Maths Mastery approach and evidence-based pedagogical practices.
  • Foster strong, purposeful relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the curriculum, ensuring alignment with the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Support students at all key stages, including Post-16, to achieve excellent outcomes in Mathematics.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide pastoral support and contribute to the school’s commitment to student well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Participate in a supportive multi-academy trust (MAT) network to share best practices and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Post-16.
  • Strong knowledge of Maths Mastery and research-informed teaching methods.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
  • Experience with variation theory and cognitive task design.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience in curriculum development or assessment design.
