Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive department culture.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the personal and academic growth of students through pastoral care and mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve positive student outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in a school setting, ideally within a MAT.

Preferred

  • Specialism in History or a related subject.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies.
