Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Food Technology lessons to students of all abilities
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Design & Technology department
  • Maintain and update teaching resources and specialist kitchen facilities
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the school’s pastoral care and student welfare initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support for students’ future career and educational pathways
  • Participate in professional development and continuing teacher training

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Food Technology
  • Strong knowledge of Food Technology curriculum and teaching methods
  • Experience working with students of diverse abilities and learning needs
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student welfare
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a specialist school or similar setting
  • Familiarity with GCSE and BTEC qualifications
  • Experience with career guidance and transition support
  • Knowledge of SMSC development and pastoral care strategies
