The Opportunity:

We are seeking an outstanding Maths teacher to join our team and support the Head of Department in leading the Maths department. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student achievement and contribute to a school that is highly respected for its academic excellence and inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons at Key Stage 5 to ensure student success and progression
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to lead and develop the Maths curriculum
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and effective classroom management
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and continuous professional development
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of excellence, respect, and inclusion
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and feedback
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 5
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives
  • Background in continuous professional development
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices
  • Familiarity with OFSTED standards and school improvement strategies
