Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that raise student achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and innovation
  • Provide pastoral support and maintain strong relationships with students
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching opportunities
  • Contribute to the management and leadership of the Science department
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
  • Stay up to date with current curriculum developments and educational thinking

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Experience in teaching GCSE Science at a good or outstanding level
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and improve student outcomes
  • Strong understanding of current curriculum developments and educational thinking
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with students

Preferred

  • Leadership training or experience in leading curriculum development
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support
  • Knowledge of teaching Science to a wide range of abilities
