Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department to ensure curriculum developments are effectively implemented.
  • Support the continuous improvement of teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a love of learning and geographical understanding.
  • Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in staff development initiatives and professional training.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and other stakeholders to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of current curriculum developments and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and support for special educational needs.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities related to Geography.
