The Opportunity:
As a Curriculum Leader - Mathematics & Numeracy, you will lead and shape the mathematics curriculum across the service, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for students with complex needs. This role is ideal for an experienced and passionate educator who is committed to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a high-quality, engaging mathematics curriculum across multiple sites.
- Lead and support teaching staff in delivering effective mathematics instruction and numeracy strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and intervention where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning across the service.
- Work closely with students, parents, and other professionals to support student achievement and well-being.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of staff training and development programs.
- Ensure that all teaching practices align with the strategic vision and educational goals of the service.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
- Experience working with students with complex needs, including behavioural and SEMH challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.
Preferred
- Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs settings.
- Leadership or management experience in a multi-site educational environment.
- Experience in curriculum development and review.
- Familiarity with numeracy across the curriculum strategies.
- Commitment to staff and student well-being and professional development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary with MPR/UPR plus TLR2C and 1 SEN Point.
