As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality maths education and driving student progress. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding and mastery.
- Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that support all learners.
- Use assessment data to inform planning and drive student progress.
- Engage in regular professional development and collaborate with colleagues across the trust.
- Provide pastoral support to students through form tutoring and school activities.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the maths curriculum.
- Support the school’s ethos and vision through active involvement in enrichment activities.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status (or expect to gain QTS by September 2026).
- Ability to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Secure understanding of effective maths pedagogy, including mastery-based teaching.
- Ability to use assessment purposefully to inform planning and drive progress.
- Reflective approach to own practice with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Commitment to the ethos, values, and mission of the school.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience in a school setting with a similar educational philosophy.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in curriculum development or peer-led professional development.
