As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality maths education and driving student progress. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding and mastery.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that support all learners.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and drive student progress.
  • Engage in regular professional development and collaborate with colleagues across the trust.
  • Provide pastoral support to students through form tutoring and school activities.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the maths curriculum.
  • Support the school’s ethos and vision through active involvement in enrichment activities.
  • Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status (or expect to gain QTS by September 2026).
  • Ability to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Secure understanding of effective maths pedagogy, including mastery-based teaching.
  • Ability to use assessment purposefully to inform planning and drive progress.
  • Reflective approach to own practice with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to the ethos, values, and mission of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a school setting with a similar educational philosophy.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development or peer-led professional development.
