Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction across all key stages, including GCSE and A-level.
  • Create engaging and stimulating learning experiences that make Mathematics relevant and accessible for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the development of the Mathematics curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and assessment.
  • Work closely with administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of the department.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in Mathematics teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A-level requirements.
  • Proven ability to teach across the full age and ability range.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with ICT in the classroom.
  • A track record of successful student outcomes and engagement.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Willingness to take on leadership or mentoring roles within the department.
