Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across the full age and ability range
  • Support the Head of Department in shaping and implementing the Maths curriculum
  • Promote high achievement and student progression through effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Contribute to the professional development of colleagues within the department
  • Play an active role in the school's wider priorities and initiatives
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure outstanding outcomes
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to enhance student learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths subject knowledge
  • Experience of teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject leadership skills and a commitment to raising student achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental development
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience of leading curriculum development or departmental initiatives
  • Familiarity with STEM-related career pathways and employer partnerships
  • Experience of working with disadvantaged students or those with special educational needs
  • Demonstrable success in improving student outcomes and attainment
