The Opportunity:

Join a successful Science department and contribute to the academic success of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher looking to make a lasting impact in a high-performing school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring high achievement and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department to develop and deliver a high-quality curriculum.
  • Support students in reaching their full potential through individualised teaching and pastoral care.
  • Contribute to the overall life and development of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and scientific thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Experience with STEM careers and employer engagement.
  • Previous experience in a school with a similar ethos or within a multi-academy trust.
  • Leadership experience or an interest in career progression within the school.
