The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Media Lecturer and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education in creative media. This role offers the chance to shape the learning experience of students across Levels 1 to 3 and T Levels in Media, Production & Broadcasting. You will play a key role in preparing students for future careers in the media industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative teaching on Level 1-3 Creative Media study programmes and T Levels in Media, Production & Broadcasting.
  • Support learners to achieve their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date course materials and assessments in line with awarding body specifications.
  • Track and monitor student progress, ensuring timely interventions where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.
  • Use information systems and databases effectively for administrative and teaching purposes.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum and professional development activities within the institution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including employers and industry partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in a subject such as 2D Animation, 3D Animation, VFX, or TV/Video Production.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with information systems and databases.

Preferred

  • A teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one.
  • Experience in the media industry or related vocational areas.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in media and broadcasting.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
