The Opportunity:

As an SEN Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the school’s SEND provision by providing expert administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring that systems, processes, and communication are well-organised, enabling the school to deliver consistent and compliant support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage SEND documentation and records with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the organisation and administration of annual reviews for students with EHCPs.
  • Liaise with families, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of EHCPs across the academy.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records for SEND provision.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo, Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, and Vice Principal to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND policies and procedures at all times.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure timely and well-coordinated student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an administrative role within an educational setting, preferably with SEND experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SEND procedures and policies, including EHCPs and annual reviews.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or academy environment.
  • Familiarity with education software and record-keeping systems.
  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
