The Opportunity:
As an SEN Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the school’s SEND provision by providing expert administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring that systems, processes, and communication are well-organised, enabling the school to deliver consistent and compliant support to students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage SEND documentation and records with accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the organisation and administration of annual reviews for students with EHCPs.
- Liaise with families, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support.
- Assist in the management and coordination of EHCPs across the academy.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records for SEND provision.
- Work closely with the SENDCo, Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, and Vice Principal to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with SEND policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide administrative support to ensure timely and well-coordinated student support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an administrative role within an educational setting, preferably with SEND experience.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SEND procedures and policies, including EHCPs and annual reviews.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or academy environment.
- Familiarity with education software and record-keeping systems.
- Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
