The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join our Languages Department, teaching French up to KS5 with Spanish at KS3 preferred. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning and contribute to a dynamic and supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to KS5, with the ability to teach Spanish to KS3 (preferred), following departmental schemes of work and the National Curriculum
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessment
- Set and mark homework according to school and departmental policies
- Integrate key skills (numeracy, literacy, and ICT) into teaching
- Monitor and assess students according to departmental and whole school policies
- Contribute to departmental meetings
- Maintain a safe and attractive learning environment
- Foster business and community links
- Contribute to enrichment programmes such as Young Enterprise
- Promote the school's ethos and equal opportunities policy
- Contribute to the development of whole school policies and practices
- Serve as a tutor with responsibilities for student academic tutoring, behaviour, welfare, and guidance
- Carry out appropriate school duties, including general lunchtime duties on a voluntary basis
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching MFL subjects
- Experience teaching French up to KS5
- Ability to teach Spanish to KS3 (preferred)
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and departmental schemes of work
- Commitment to promoting a positive school ethos and equal opportunities policy
- Experience in contributing to departmental and whole school policies
