The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History and Politics Teacher to join our successful department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in History and Politics, promoting student engagement and academic excellence.

- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, including participation in extra-curricular activities and events.
- Support the pastoral care system and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the academic standards of the department.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History and Politics.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in classroom management and behaviour support.
- Commitment to pastoral care and safeguarding.
- Excellent planning and preparation skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with Initial Teacher Training programmes.
- Experience in a co-educational or independent school setting.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles.
