The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science education to students across all ability levels. You will contribute to the development of the Science department and help students achieve their full potential through engaging and effective teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across the full age and ability range.
- Plan and implement agreed Schemes of Work to a high standard.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the continuous development of the Science department.
- Foster a secure understanding of scientific concepts and encourage critical thinking in students.
- Ensure that students are challenged and supported to achieve outstanding outcomes at GCSE and A Level.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
- Support the school’s mission to develop confident, curious, and successful learners.
- Promote the school’s ASPIRE values in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student achievement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience in delivering Science education at both GCSE and A Level.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
